Stourscombe is set to have its very own ‘village green’, after receiving 100 mixed trees and bushes, due to arrive at the beginning of March.
The Stourscombe Residents Association has received confirmation of a donation of 100 free mixed trees and bushes from the Dig Trees Project, to be planted to create a fantastic open green space for residents to enjoy.
As a result, the Association is asking for volunteers to help plant the trees and bushes on the weekend of 6th and 7th March.
And this isn’t the only good news the Association has received. South West Water has donated £50 to the cause, which will be spent on wildflower seeds to further enhance this beautiful little spot in Stourscombe.
If you would like to help in any way, from volunteering some time to providing a little bird nest box to encourage wildlife into the area, email les.whaley@talktalk.net.
