This commemorative event will be celebrating Charles Causley’s life and work on the 21st anniversary of Charles’s death and showcasing the publication of a new collection of responses to Charles’s legacy, The Drifted Stream.

Speaking at the event, guests include poets David Devanny - who is also a senior lecturer at Falmouth University - Rachel Piercey, Tommy Sissons and Sue Wallace-Shaddad. All of these poets have held residencies at Cyprus Well, Charles’s home for most of his life in Launceston and where he crafted his poetry. The recent winner of the Charles Causley International Poetry Competition 2024, Anastasia Taylor-Lind, and one of the Trust's prize-winning runners up, Ozge Gozturk, will also be speaking. Nicola Nuttall, the Director of the Charles Causley Trust, will be leading the event for the evening. She is both a poet and current Causley researcher at Falmouth University.

Working to promote arts and culture for all was a passion of Charles Causley’s and something the Trust are proud to continue doing in his memory.

Tickets for this event in London are free and tickets can be booked with the National Poetry Library.
