Launceston Farmers’ Markets, 5th & 21st October
Take advantage of lots of seasonal produce at the October farmers’ markets in the Square on the 5th and 21st October. From sweet treats for the little ones, to fresh veg to throw into your warming soups and stews, it’s the perfect opportunity to shop local and see what the traders have to offer this autumn.

Tre, Pol & Pen Halloween disco, 27th October
Get your kids to practice their best dance moves for the Halloween disco at Tre, Pol & Pen on Sunday 27th October, 5.30pm-7pm. There will be party games, spooky food and drinks, a fancy dress competition, trick or treat and lots more fun to be had. £5 per child, under 2s go free.
Halloween doughnut workshop, 30th October
A spooktacular doughnut workshop by The Flavour Junction is running in Edymead Hall on 30th October at 1.45pm. Every child receives four doughnuts to decorate, with supplies and inspiration provided to create some terrific treats. Spaces must be booked in advance. Launceston Chamber of Commerce’s annual Halloween Trail will take place across the town centre on the 30th, 31st October and 1st November.
Pumpkin Fest, weekends in October

Scarecrow Festival, St Anne’s Chapel, 5th-12th October
Pop along to St Anne’s Chapel during the week of the 5th to 12th October to judge and take part in the village’s Scarecrow Festival. Collect a map and scarecrow list from the Rifle Volunteer, then head off on the trail to discover all the fantastic entries.
There will be prizes for Best Scarecrow in the Village and runner up, plus Most Popular Scarecrow. The winners will be announced on 13th October on Your St Anne’s Chapel Facebook page.
Halloween at Cotehele House
Head to the historic Cotehele House for lots of spooktacular fun in the run-up to Halloween. From 24th October to 11th November, follow the trail around the gardens to discover the stories of Cotehele’s spooky scarecrows. From 29th October to 2nd November, take the little ones along to spooky storytime, performed by a scarecrow storyteller.
